The Rod of Bruises

I racked my brain trying to trying to work in a Robert the Bruce pun into the title but I just couldn’t make it work.  So you are stuck with what I have come up with.

This is a solid piece of stainless steel with a para-cord woven handle. Made by the same gentleman who made our cane snake this is a brutal item that needs to be handled with care. But can also be used for Molly’s least favorite type of play, temperature play*. A brief stay in the freezer and it will add a delicious chill as a gentle sensation play toy.

But the way I like to use this tool the best is for impact and it will deliver a thuddy impact like nothing else. Let me give you the specifications.

19 1/2 inches long (50 cm for the Brits)

15 cm para-cord handle (6 inches for the murricans)

1.1 pounds (0.0787365 stone for the old school Brits)

This is not something that you use without having your full and present attention, because a slip and someone could easily end up with broken bones and that is a kink too far for both Molly and I. It is substantial when you hold it, it has heft and authority when you swing it. I like that it takes effort and concentration to use and after a long session it leaves me feeling that I have done work, that I have labored to accomplish something. As I write this it is across my lap and it is a real effort not to grab her and pull down her pants and use it right now.

When it makes contact there is no doubt that this is going to leave marks. Deep, dark, purple bruises that take time to show and days to leave. Marks that will have Molly rolling over in bed, asking me to press my fingers into her ass to make them ache again.

This rod gives proof to the old saying

Spare the rod and spoil the sub

Well, maybe that is only a saying that I use, but it doesn’t make it any less true.

*Note by Molly… It is true I am not keen on cold temperature play BUT when I have been soundly flogged or some other sort of impact play and my skin is hot and throbbing running this icy cold rod over my that flesh makes me gasp and shiver and twitch…. and although I often protest, it is actually a powerfully contrasting sensation that I enjoy.
